How to Use Conversation Starters

The goal of these Conversation Starter Cards is to help everyday believers take a natural first step in talking about Jesus. Each card presents one question on the front that anyone can answer. The perforated bottom has the three answer options. Here’s how it works:

Step 1 — Ask the Question

Approach someone with a smile and simply ask the one question printed on the card.

Step 2 — Tear & Share

As you ask the question, tear off the perforated section with the “Yes / No / Not sure” boxes and keep it. Give them the top of the card to keep. That top section has the Conversation Starter question and related Scriptures. The church information is on the back.

Step 3 — Take the Conversation as Far as They’re Ready

• If they want to talk, walk through the verses (Plan of Salvation) on the back of the card.
• If they don’t, you’ve still left them with God’s Word and your church contact information
• At least, the seed has been planted.

• Collect the bottom perforated slips with the person’s response (Yes, No, Not sure) and turn them in on Sunday (no name required).
• This becomes a simple, positive survey of real people in your community. The church can share weekly or monthly totals as encouragement—no names required.
